Live In Caregiver

Home Helpers Home Care is seeking a dependable, compassionate caregiver for a client located in Des Plaines, IL.

This position is available for an immediate start and is a great opportunity for an experienced caregiver who enjoys providing one-on-one care and is comfortable working with a client living with dementia.

Position Details

• Location: Des Plaines, IL
• Start Date: Immediate
• Schedule: Saturday 12pm – Tuesday 12pm
• Dementia experience is required

Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, one-on-one care and companionship
• Assist activities of daily living as needed
• Provide reassurance, patience, and supervision appropriate for a client with dementia
• Follow the client's individualized plan of care
• Complete daily care notes and documentation using our mobile app
• Communicate professionally with the client, family, and Home Helpers office
• Observe and report changes in the client's condition or behavior to the office, as appropriate
• Assist with light housekeeping and other non-medical caregiving duties as needed

Minimum Requirements

• Previous dementia caregiving experience
• Previous home care, caregiving, or CNA experience
• Valid driver's license
• Reliable personal vehicle with current auto insurance
• Ability to pass a criminal background check
• Authorized to work in the U.S.
• High school diploma or GED
• Required to complete all applicable state-mandated caregiver training courses and maintain required training as directed by Home Helpers Home Care
• Ability to maintain client confidentiality
