Caregiver – 12-Hour Overnight Shifts | Solon Area

$16–$19/hour | 2–3 Shifts Per Week | Full-Time & Part-Time

FirstLight Home Care is hiring experienced caregivers for immediate 12-hour overnight openings within approximately 30 minutes of Solon, OH.

Position at a Glance

• Pay: $16–$19/hour, based on experience, qualifications and client assignment
• Shift: 12-hour overnight shifts
• Part-Time: 24 hours/week (2 shifts)
• Full-Time: 36 hours/week (3 shifts)
• Location: Client homes within approximately 30 minutes of Solon
• Care Setting: One-on-one care in clients' homes
• Experience: Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience
• Transportation: Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle required
• Additional Hours: Opportunities for additional shifts based on availability

What You'll Do

Responsibilities are based on each client's individualized care plan and may include:

• Provide overnight supervision, companionship and safety monitoring
• Assist with evening, overnight and morning routines
• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting and personal hygiene
• Assist with walking, mobility, transfers and other activities of daily living (ADLs)
• Provide medication reminders
• Prepare meals, snacks or beverages as needed
• Assist with light housekeeping related to client care
• Observe and report changes in client condition
• Follow individualized care plans and safety procedures
• Communicate professionally with clients, families and the FirstLight team
• Promote each client's dignity, comfort, safety and independence

Requirements

• Minimum 6 months of caregiving experience
• Availability to work at least two 12-hour shifts (24 hours) per week
• Valid driver's license and reliable vehicle
• Ability and willingness to travel to client homes within approximately 30 minutes of Solon
• Ability to pass required background checks and drug screening
• Ability to safely assist clients with mobility, transfers and personal care
• Dependable attendance and punctuality
• Professional communication skills
• Ability to work independently in a client's home

Relevant experience may include work as a Caregiver, Home Health Aide (HHA), Personal Care Assistant (PCA), CNA, STNA, Direct Support Professional (DSP), Resident Assistant, Companion Caregiver, Hospice Caregiver or Home Care Aide.

Preferred Qualifications

The following are helpful but not required:

• CPR or First Aid certification
• HHA certification
• CNA or STNA certification
• Dementia or Alzheimer's care experience
