In-Home Caregiver

Job Title: Personal Care Companion - Overnights (12 hour shifts) Part-time to possible fulltime

Location: Homewatch CareGivers of Cincinnati

Reports To: Owner

Employment Type: Part-Time or Full-Time (based on availability)

Job Summary:

Homewatch CareGivers of Cincinnati is seeking compassionate, dependable Caregivers to provide non-medical support and care to clients in their homes for overnight. This role focuses on improving quality of life by offering a customized, person-centered Care Plan. Socialization with meaningful activities to reduce feelings of isolation and loneliness, help with activities of daily living, and a sense of safety and comfort.

Key Responsibilities:

Provide companionship through conversation, activities, and emotional support

Personal hygiene care - incontinence care (if needed)

Aid with mobility which includes transferring and repositioning (if needed)

Assist with light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, dishes, and tidying common areas

Support daily routines including reminders for meals, hydration, and medications (no administration)

Encourage and assist with participation in hobbies, games, walks, and social outings

Prepare simple meals and provide mealtime companionship

Accompany clients to appointments or errands (if needed)

Observe and report any changes in condition, behavior, or environment to supervisor

Maintain respectful, professional, and confidential client relationships

Follow all safety protocols, care plans, and company policies

Flexibility in schedule there will be weekends but not every weekend

Qualifications:

High school diploma or GED required

Previous experience working with seniors or in a caregiving setting preferred, but not required

Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Ability to be patient, empathetic, and reliable

Must pass a background check and pre-employment screening

Willingness to complete required training and ongoing education

Physical Requirements:

Ability to lift up to 25 pounds

Able to stand, bend, kneel, and move around for extended periods

Comfortable assisting clients with mobility guidance, as needed
