Role Overview:

As an Immediate Caregiver (Home Care Aide) at Assisting Hands Santa Clara, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and personalized care to your clients in the comfort of their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with your team to ensure that clients receive the support they need to thrive independently and enjoy peace of mind.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver compassionate care while assisting clients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, and meal preparation.
2. Ensure a safe and clean environment by managing household tasks, including light housekeeping.
3. Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to promote their mental and emotional well-being.
4. Provide reliable companionship and support to encourage independence and improve quality of life.
5. Follow care plan, document client progress and feedback to maintain effective communication within the care team.
6. Abide by policies and procedures of Assisting Hands Santa Clara and CDSS and HIPAA guidelines

Hours: Dependent on assignment; Shifts available 24 hours a day, 7 days per week and based on availability.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Experience in caregiving or a related field is highly preferred. HCA registry highly desired
2. Ability to communicate effectively in English with clients and team members.
3. Empathy and compassion for working with seniors and their families.
4. Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
5. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.
6. Proven ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion while maintaining professionalism
7. Reliability on meeting commitments and open communicator

Bonus If You:

1. Have certifications in CPR or TB tested.
2. Possess additional language skills that can enhance communication with clients in Cantonese, hindi etc.
3. Have training in specialized caregiving, such as Alzheimer's or dementia or parkinson or hospice care.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position that may include flexible hours throughout the week, including weekends.
