Role Overview:

As a Direct Support Professional at Homewatch CareGivers, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities and seniors. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with healthcare professionals, families, and our caregiving team to implement personalized care plans that enable clients to maintain their dignity and independence. Whether you work on-site in the Reynoldsburg area, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of those you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal care, meal preparation, and medication management.
  2. Foster a safe and respectful environment for clients to encourage independence and self-sufficiency.
  3. Document client progress and report any changes in condition to supervisors and family members.
  4. Engage clients in social and recreational activities to promote mental and emotional well-being.
  5. Collaborate with healthcare professionals and family members to ensure accurate implementation of care plans.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

  1. Experience in caregiving or related fields, particularly with individuals with disabilities.
  2. Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with diverse individuals.
  3. Willingness to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
  4. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  5. Certification in CPR and First Aid is a plus.

Bonus If You:

  1. Have additional certifications related to disabilities or elder care.
  2. Are fluent in Spanish or another language.
  3. Possess strong problem-solving skills to assist clients effectively.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available for both Full-Time and Part-Time schedules, including availability on weekdays and weekends.

Location:

This position is on-site only, located in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
