About Us:

BrightStar Care is a home health company that promotes well-being in the home. We provide our clients with caregivers, CNAs, LPNs, or RNs who assist with various in-home care needs such as toileting, light housekeeping, dressing, grooming, companionship, dementia care, safety, and much more. Each client is assessed individually by a Registered Nurse to create a personalized Plan of Care, which our employees follow to deliver top-notch care. Our ownership comprises husband-and-wife nurses who both do the same work we ask of our team, ensuring a compassionate and understanding approach to care.

Role Overview:

As a Home Health Nurse at BrightStar Care, you will be responsible for providing high-quality nursing care in the comfort of our clients' homes. In this overnight role, you’ll collaborate closely with nursing staff and the client's family to ensure adherence to individual care plans and deliver exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Deliver comprehensive nursing care to clients including administering medications, monitoring vital signs, and providing wound care.
2. Assess patients' health conditions and foster open communication with both clients and their families.
3. Implement and follow personalized care plans created by Registered Nurses.
4. Ensure compliance with safety protocols and best practices in home health care.
5. Document patient care and progress accurately, maintaining patient confidentiality and records.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Current Registered Nurse (RN) or Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) license in the state of Illinois.
2. Experience in home health care environments.
3. Ability to develop strong patient relationships and adjust care according to individual needs.
4. Proficient in English; knowledge of Spanish is a plus.
5. Ability to provide top notch care for patients on vents.
6. Ability to train with client during the day before taking on overnight shifts.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available as Part-Time, able to transition to Full-Time, with availability needed Monday through Sunday.

Location:

This position is On-Site Only and is in the Hegewisch neighborhood of Chicago, but our office is in Tinley Park.
