Activities Assistant

Holly Residential Care Center is a specialized facility that serves individuals with Traumatic Brain Injuries, as well as residents with significant physical and cognitive impairments. We operate with a team-based approach, with specialized departments including Housekeeping, Dietary, Maintenance, Activities, Nursing, and Direct Care. This structure allows us to provide truly individualized support across all aspects of daily living, ensuring our residents receive the highest quality of care.

Role Overview:

As an Activities Assistant at Holly Residential Care Center, you will be responsible for leading recreational and leisure activities for our residents. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our Activities Director and fellow staff in the department to create a stimulating and engaging environment that promotes physical and mental well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Execute a variety of activities, such as games, arts and crafts, music, to encourage socialization and a sense of community among residents. This role also includes assisting residents during mealtimes, and going on medical and personal outings,
2. Assist residents in participating in activities, ensuring their safety and well-being at all times.
3. Document activity participation and observations of residents to support overall care planning and resident engagement.
4. Support the development and implementation of creative and stimulating programs that cater to the physical, emotional, and social needs of residents.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills with a compassionate and patient-centered approach.
2. Ability to work effectively in a team environment and connect with residents from diverse backgrounds and abilities.
3. Previous experience in organizing/leading recreational activities, especially in a healthcare or long-term care setting.
4. Strong organizational and documentation skills to ensure activity participation and outcomes are properly recorded and evaluated.

Employment Type & Availability:

Part Time- with at least 1 weekend day included.

Holly Residential is located in Eugene, Oregon, and this position is On-Site Only.
