About Us:

At FirstLight Home Care, we provide in-home care assistance to seniors or any adult that needs extra assistance with their activities of daily living. We are there to help them maintain their independence so that they do not have to rely on their family members, friends, or neighbors to provide their care for them. The care we provide ranges from personal care, including assistance with bathing, toileting, mobility, hygiene, and eating assistance, to companion care, which includes conversation and company, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation. We have been serving the Southeast Georgia area for over 13 years now and are very passionate about serving our senior population.

Role Overview:

As a Personal Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care of Southeast Georgia, you will be responsible for providing compassionate home care to our clients, ensuring they enjoy their best day, every day. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with families and healthcare professionals to deliver the support they need, allowing them to maintain their quality of life. Working on-site in Nahunta, Georgia, you’ll have the opportunity to make a difference in the lives of those you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with activities of daily living, such as bathing, toileting, and mobility
2. Provide companion care through conversation and companionship
3. Offer medication reminders and assist with light housekeeping
4. Transport clients to appointments or social activities
5. Collaborate with families and healthcare professionals to ensure comprehensive care

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Compassion and empathy for clients and their families
2. Strong communication skills in English
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
4. Experience in personal or companion care is preferred
5. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation

Bonus If You:

1. Have training or certification in caregiving
2. Are familiar with medical terminology or healthcare practices
3. Have experience working with seniors or special needs populations

Employment Type & Availability:

This position offers both Full-Time and Part-Time schedules, with availability required Monday through Sunday.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Nahunta, Georgia.
