Lead Caregiver

Role Overview:

As a Lead Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for ensuring uninterrupted care for our clients. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the office team and field staff to provide coverage for caregiver call-offs and urgent staffing needs. When you’re not delivering exceptional direct client care, you will support office operations by assisting with communication and coordinating staffing needs. Your adaptability and problem-solving skills will be crucial in creating a reliable support system for both clients and caregivers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide coverage for open shifts due to caregiver call-offs, schedule changes, and staffing shortages.
2. Maintain service continuity by stepping in to deliver high quality, compassionate care to clients.
3. Answer and triage incoming calls, assisting with effective communication between clients and caregivers.
4. Support the coordination of staffing needs to ensure reliable caregiver coverage.
5. Act as a bridge between field staff and office operations to foster a cohesive team environment.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Proven experience as a caregiver or in a similar role within home care services.
2. Strong problem-solving abilities and adaptability in changing situations.
3. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, in English.
4. Dedication to providing exceptional, compassionate care for clients and support for caregivers.
5. Ability to work collaboratively within a team-oriented environment.

Bonus If You:

1. Have prior supervisory experience in a caregiving or healthcare setting.
2. Possess certifications related to caregiving or elder care.
3. Are familiar with software or tools used for scheduling and staff coordination.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full Time, Monday through Friday.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Chardon, Ohio and travel to client homes
