Role Overview:

As a Welder at Precon Marine Inc, you will be responsible for fabricating and repairing metal structures and components used in marine construction. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our skilled team to ensure that all welding projects meet strict quality and safety standards. Working on-site in Chesapeake, Virginia, you will have the opportunity to contribute to significant marine construction projects while enjoying a consistent work schedule.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Perform welding tasks on various metal materials, including steel and aluminum, using MIG and TIG welding techniques.
2. Conduct inspections of completed welds to ensure quality and compliance with safety guidelines.
3. Maintain welding equipment and tools, ensuring they are in optimal working condition.
4. Collaborate with project managers and team members to troubleshoot and resolve welding-related issues.
5. Be onsite ready to go to work at 7AM or before.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Proven experience as a welder in a marine or construction setting with at least 3 years' experience.
2. Expertise in MIG and TIG welding processes.
3. Ability to read and interpret blueprints and technical documents.
4. Strong attention to detail and commitment to safety and quality.
5. Valid certification in welding preferred, but on-the-job training may be provided.

Bonus If You:

1. Have experience with underwater welding or marine construction projects.
2. Possess additional welding certifications or training.
3. Demonstrate excellent teamwork and communication skills.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full-Time, available Monday through Saturday.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Chesapeake, Virginia.
