We are seeking an energetic, personable, and results-driven Community Relations & Sales Coordinator to help grow our business by developing relationships with healthcare professionals, generating referrals, and converting prospective clients into home care services.

This is not a traditional desk job! We are looking for someone who enjoys being out in the community, meeting new people, building relationships, and making a difference in the lives of seniors and their families.

Key Responsibilities

Community Outreach & Referral Development

  • Visit nursing homes, rehabilitation facilities, hospitals, assisted living communities, senior centers, and other healthcare organizations daily.
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with discharge planners, social workers, case managers, and healthcare professionals.
  • Attend community events, networking opportunities, senior expos, and healthcare-related functions.
  • Coordinate educational presentations, facility appreciation events, and other outreach activities.
  • Consistently follow up with referral partners to maintain relationships and encourage referrals.
  • Identify new opportunities to expand our presence throughout East Tennessee.

Sales & Client Consultations

  • Respond promptly to prospective client inquiries and referrals.
  • Schedule and conduct in-home consultations with potential clients and their families.
  • Educate families about our home care services, including companion care, personal care, dementia care, respite care, and 24-hour care.
  • Explain service options, pricing, and care recommendations.
  • Confidently guide prospective clients through the decision-making process.
  • Convert qualified inquiries into signed service agreements.
  • Coordinate with office staff to ensure a smooth transition from consultation to the start of care.
  • Follow up with prospective clients who have not yet committed to services.

Business Growth & Accountability

  • Maintain a consistent schedule of daily outreach visits and appointments.
  • Track referrals, consultations, new client conversions, and business development activities.
  • Maintain accurate records of referral sources and follow-up communications.
  • Work closely with ownership to develop and execute growth strategies.
  • Meet established monthly referral, consultation, and new client acquisition goals.
  • Represent Homewatch CareGivers of the Smokies professionally and positively throughout the community.

Qualifications

  • Previous sales, marketing, business development, or healthcare experience preferred.
  • Experience in home care, senior living, rehabilitation, or healthcare referral development is a plus.
  • Strong communication, relationship-building, and interpersonal skills.
  • Confident conducting consultations and discussing pricing and services.
  • Self-motivated, organized, and comfortable working independently.
  • Comfortable initiating conversations and developing new professional relationships.
  • Reliable transportation and willingness to travel throughout East Tennessee.
  • Valid driver’s license.
  • Basic computer skills and ability to maintain accurate records.

What We’re Looking For

Our ideal candidate is someone who walks into a room and naturally connects with people. Someone who isn’t afraid to introduce themselves, build relationships, follow up consistently, and ask for the business.

We want someone who is passionate about helping seniors remain safe and independent at home while also being motivated to grow a successful business.

What We Offer

  • Competitive compensation based on experience.
  • Performance-based bonus opportunities.
  • Flexible, community-based work environment.
