FirstLight Home Care is growing and hiring compassionate, dependable Caregivers and Home Health Aides (HHAs) to serve clients throughout Beachwood and surrounding east-side communities, including University Heights, Mayfield Heights, Willoughby, and Willowick.

We have a variety of client schedules available, including daytime, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts. Whether you're looking for full-time hours, part-time work, or additional shifts to supplement your current schedule, we'd love to talk with you.

Position Summary

As a Caregiver / Home Health Aide (HHA), you'll provide one-on-one care and support to seniors and adults in their homes throughout Beachwood, University Heights, Mayfield Heights, Willoughby, Willowick, and surrounding communities.

Assignments are matched based on your location, availability, experience, and client needs whenever possible. You do not need to be available to work throughout the entire service area.

Responsibilities

As a Caregiver, you may:

• Assist with bathing, dressing, grooming, and personal hygiene
• Provide companionship and meaningful conversation
• Prepare meals and assist with light housekeeping
• Assist with mobility, walking, and transfers
• Provide medication reminders
• Assist with errands and appointments when appropriate
• Observe and report changes in a client's condition
• Follow individualized care plans
• Promote client safety, dignity, comfort, and independence
• Build trusted relationships with clients and their families

Qualifications

We're looking for caregivers who are:

• Compassionate and genuinely enjoy helping others
• Dependable and committed to arriving on time for scheduled shifts
• Patient, respectful, and professional
• Strong communicators
• Comfortable working independently in a client's home
• Willing to provide hands-on assistance when required by the care plan

Requirements

• Valid driver's license
• Reliable transportation - must have own vehicle
• Ability to pass required background checks
• Ability to safely assist clients with mobility and activities of daily living
• Dependable attendance and reliable communication

Experience in any of the following roles is especially helpful:

• Caregiver
• Home Health Aide (HHA)
• Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• State Tested Nursing Assistant (STNA)
• Direct Support Professional (DSP)
• Resident Assistant
• Companion Caregiver
• Senior Caregiver
• Hospice Caregiver
• Home Care Aide

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous professional caregiving experience
• CPR Certification
• First Aid Certification
• HHA Certification
• CNA/STNA License
• Dementia or Alzheimer's care experience
• Experience assisting clients with transfers and mobility

Available Schedules

Availability for weekends, evenings, and overnights is especially valuable as we continue to add new clients throughout the area.
