Assisting Hands Home Care in San Antonio provides non-medical, in-home care for seniors, adults with disabilities, and individuals needing post-operative support. Their licensed, bonded, and trained caregivers offer personalized services including companionship, personal hygiene, meal preparation, medication reminders, and 24/7 care.

Role Overview:

As a Senior Caregiver at Assisting Hands - NE San Antonio, you will be responsible for providing essential personal care and support to seniors and individuals in need. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients and their families to ensure individualized care that upholds their dignity and independence. Whether you work on-site in Shavano Park or neighboring areas, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those you support.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide companionship and build trusting relationships with clients.
2. Assist with personal hygiene and grooming tasks to ensure clients feel dignified and comfortable.
3. Support meal preparation and nutritional needs to promote health and wellness.
4. Offer medication reminders and assist clients in following their prescribed health regimens.
5. Encourage and support clients in their daily activities to foster independence.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Experience in caregiving or a related field.
2. Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate approach towards care.
3. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.
4. Willingness to engage with clients and provide tailored care as needed.
5. Basic understanding of medical terminology and care protocols.

Bonus If You:

1. Have certification in First Aid/CPR.
2. Are bilingual in English and another language.
3. Possess specialized training in geriatric care or related areas.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position available seven days a week, with flexibility in scheduling.
