About Us:

At FirstLight Home Care, we provide in-home care assistance to seniors or any adult that needs extra assistance with their activities of daily living. We are there to help them maintain their independence so that they do not have to rely on their family members, friends, or neighbors to provide their care for them. The care we provide ranges from personal care, including assistance with bathing, toileting, mobility, hygiene, and eating assistance, to companion care, which includes conversation and company, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation. We have been serving the Southeast Georgia area for over 13 years now and are very passionate about serving our senior population.

Role Overview:

As a Home Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate home care to our clients, ensuring they enjoy their best day, every day. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with families and healthcare professionals to deliver the support seniors need to maintain their independence and quality of life. Whether you work full-time or part-time, you’ll have the chance to make a meaningful impact in the lives of those you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide personal care assistance including bathing, toileting, and mobility support.
2. Assist with daily activities such as hygiene, eating, and medication reminders.
3. Engage in companionship practices, ensuring clients feel valued and less isolated.
4. Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
5. Transport clients as needed to appointments or social engagements.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Experience in home caregiving or a related field.
2. Strong communication skills, with a preference for English speakers.
3. Empathy and a passion for helping others live fulfilling lives.
4. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.
5. Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.

Bonus If You:

1. Have certifications in CPR and First Aid.
2. Possess additional language skills.
3. Have training in specialized care (e.g., dementia or Alzheimer’s care).

Employment Type & Availability:

This position offers both Full-Time and Part-Time options, with availability required Monday through Sunday.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Brunswick, Georgia.
