Role Overview:

As a Direct Support Professional at Homewatch CareGivers, you will be responsible for providing personalized care and support to individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities as well as seniors. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients and their families to ensure safety, promote independence, and enhance the quality of life. Whether you work full-time or part-time, you’ll have the flexibility to create meaningful relationships within the community.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Caring for the daily needs of clients including personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
  2. Supporting clients in their daily activities to encourage independence and comfort in their home environment.
  3. Documenting client progress and reporting any changes in their behavior or condition to management.
  4. Establishing effective relationships with clients, their families, and the healthcare team to provide holistic care.
  5. Participating in ongoing training and development opportunities to ensure quality care and personal growth.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

  1. Previous experience in a caregiving or support role, ideally within home health or community services.
  2. Strong communication skills, including proficiency in English, for effective interaction with clients and team members.
  3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team to provide comprehensive care.
  4. Compassionate and patient demeanor with a genuine passion for supporting others.
  5. Flexibility to work various shifts, including nights and weekends as needed.

Bonus If You:

  1. Have certification in CPR and First Aid.
  2. Possess any relevant certifications in development disabilities or health care.
  3. Have experience working with Medicaid and understanding of care plans.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available as both Full-Time and Part-Time, with shifts on Monday through Sunday.

Location:

This position is on-site only and based in Reynoldsburg, Ohio.
