About Us:

BrightStar Care is a home care company that promotes well-being in the home. We can provide our clients with caregivers, CNAs, LPNs or RNs that provide in-home care, assisting with toileting, light housekeeping, dressing, grooming, companionship, dementia care, safety, and much more. Each client is individually assessed by a Registered Nurse to develop a personalized Plan of Care, which our employees follow to deliver top-notch care. Care needs range from simple companionship care to round-the-clock skilled nursing care and everything in between. BrightStar Care of Tinley Park is owned by husband-and-wife nurses who do the same work that we ask our employees to do.

Role Overview:

As an Elderly Caregiver at BrightStar Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and high-quality in-home care to our clients. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure each client's specific needs are met, enabling them to live comfortably and safely in their own homes. You’ll enjoy a flexible schedule with shifts ranging from two to twelve hours while working on-site in Tinley Park, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with daily living activities, including toileting, dressing, and grooming.
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to help clients feel engaged and valued.
3. Light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and clean living environment.
4. Assist with mobility and transfer of clients as needed.
5. Follow personalized Plans of Care developed by Registered Nurses to ensure quality service delivery.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Experience in elderly care or a related field.
2. Current certification as a CNA or equivalent is preferred.
3. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
4. Empathy and a genuine passion for helping others.
5. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends.

Bonus If You:

1. Have experience with specialized care for clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.
2. Are bilingual, specifically in languages that may enhance client communication.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full-Time or Part-Time, available Monday through Sunday.

This position is on-site located in Tinley Park, Illinois and the surrounding suburbs.
