Role Overview:

As a Heavy Equipment Mechanic at Precon Marine Inc, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy marine construction equipment and related machinery. In this role, you’ll be an integral part of ensuring that our equipment and machinery operate safely, efficiently, and effectively. Whether you work on-site, you’ll have the flexibility to work with a stable, skilled offshore workforce and contribute to the success of our maritime operations.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Performing regular maintenance and servicing of heavy marine construction equipment and machinery.
  2. Diagnosing and repairing mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic systems.
  3. Troubleshooting and resolving issues with heavy equipment to minimize downtime and ensure maximum productivity.
  4. Collaborating with the operations team to schedule and prioritize equipment repairs and maintenance.
  5. Ensuring all work is carried out in compliance with safety regulations and company standards.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

  1. Proven experience as a heavy equipment mechanic, preferably in the marine construction industry.
  2. Familiarity with a variety of heavy equipment and machinery, including engines, hydraulics, and electrical systems.
  3. Ability to troubleshoot and repair complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
  4. Strong commitment to safety and high-quality workmanship.
  5. Excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday, with overtime available.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Chesapeake, Virginia.
