FirstLight Home Care of the South Hills is a locally owned non-medical home care agency serving seniors and adults across the South Hills of Pittsburgh and nearby Washington County communities, including Canonsburg, Upper St. Clair, Bethel Park, Mt. Lebanon, Peters, and surrounding towns.

Our caregivers provide companion care, personal care, dementia support, respite for family caregivers, veteran care, and short-term help after illness or surgery. Role Overview:

As a Caregiver - Overnight at FirstLight Home Care of the South Hills, you will be responsible for providing compassionate in-home care during overnight shifts. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients to ensure they receive the support they need for comfort and safety while living independently at home. You’ll have the flexibility to work across various locations within the South Hills and Northern Washington County, bringing peace of mind to families who trust us with their loved ones.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide compassionate overnight care in clients' homes, ensuring their safety and comfort.
2. Assist clients with their evening and morning routines, including toileting, dressing, and personal care.
3. Engage in light conversation and provide companionship to ensure clients are not alone during the night.
4. Follow the specific overnight care plan developed for each client.
5. Monitor and provide support for any changes in the client's condition during the overnight shift.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Strong communication skills, particularly in English.
2. Empathy and a genuine desire to help others
3. Ability to follow care plans and directives as outlined.
4. Reliable and punctual, with a commitment to maintaining a positive attitude.
5. Flexibility to work overnight shifts, including weekends as needed.

Extra Points If You:

1. Have experience in non-medical home care or a related field.
2. Possess certifications in CPR or First Aid.
3. Are capable of providing specialized care, such as for dementia or post-surgical support.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available for both Full-Time and Part-Time hours, with overnight shifts covering all days of the week.

Location:

This position is on-site only, catering to clients in Bethel Park and surrounding areas.
