Role Overview:

As a Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care of Bethlehem, you will provide compassionate, overnight care and support to a client in the Bangor/Windgap area. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure the client’s safety, comfort, and well-being throughout the night, while assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist client with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing as needed.
2. Provide companionship and reassurance to support emotional well-being, especially during overnight hours.
3. Help with meal preparation and medication reminders as needed.
4. Monitor client safety overnight and provide assistance as needed.
5. Maintain a clean and safe environment.
6. Collaborate with family members and healthcare professionals to ensure care plans are followed.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills:

1. Compassion and a genuine desire to help others.
2. Strong communication skills, with proficiency in English.
3. Ability to stay alert and attentive during overnight shifts.
4. Ability to perform physical tasks required for caregiving.
5. Previous experience in a caregiving role is a plus but not required.

Reliable transportation to travel to the Bangor/Windgap area.

Bonus If You:

Have formal training or certification in caregiving or a related field.

Are familiar with working with clients with specific needs such as dementia or disabilities.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a full-time overnight position, with shifts available Monday through Sunday.

Location:

This position is on-site in the Bangor/Windgap, Pennsylvania area.
