Part-Time Dementia Caregiver

Role Overview:

As a Part-Time Dementia Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate in-home care to clients living with dementia. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our care team to support our clients’ daily needs and enhance their quality of life. Shifts may include a mix of assistance with personal care and/or companion care for socialization, activity and engagement. Transportation for clients may or may not be required.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with personal care tasks, including dressing, grooming, and bathing.
2. Provide companionship and engage clients in conversation and activities to promote cognitive function.
3. Prepare meals and assist with nutritional needs, ensuring clients have access to healthy options.
4. Monitor client’s health status, keeping detailed records of any changes and reporting to the care team.
5. Communicate effectively with clients, their families, and the support team to ensure personalized care.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Experience in caregiving or a related field, particularly with dementia patients.
2. Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build meaningful relationships with clients.
3. Flexibility in scheduling to accommodate client needs and preferences.
4. Ability to communicate clearly and effectively in English.
5. Willingness to undergo training provided by FirstLight Home Care before working with clients.

Bonus If You:

1. Have relevant certifications such as CNA or HHA.
2. Possess first aid or CPR certification.
3. Have prior experience in a home care environment.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position that may include availability from Monday to Friday Mornings or Afternoons

Location:

This position is on-site in Phoenixville, Pennsylvania.
