Role Overview:

As a Construction Laborer at Precon Marine Inc, you will be responsible for assisting with various tasks at our Southern Chesapeake Laydown Yard, ensuring that projects meet deadlines and safety is upheld.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist in various construction activities including site preparation, material handling, and operating construction tools.
2. Follow safety guidelines and protocols to ensure a safe working environment for all team members.
3. Participate in training programs to develop skills and knowledge related to marine construction.
4. Support experienced workers in completing repairs, installations, and maintenance work.
5. Maintain a clean and organized workspace to facilitate efficient construction operations.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Prior experience operating forklifts, loaders etc. is a bonus.
2. Ability to operate various hand tools and power tools safely.
3. Strong physical ability and stamina to perform manual labor tasks consistently.
4. Excellent communication skills and the ability to work well with a team.
5. Willingness to learn and adapt in a fast-paced construction environment.

Bonus If You:

1. Have experience with marine construction or heavy equipment operations.
2. Possess certifications related to safety and construction (e.g., OSHA).
3. Have knowledge of environmental regulations affecting marine projects.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday.

Precon Marine is a drug free workplace; you are required to pass a Pre Hire drug screen prior to being hired.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Chesapeake, Virginia.
