Part Time Caregiver

About Us:

At FirstLight Home Care, we provide in-home care assistance to seniors or any adult that needs extra assistance with their activities of daily living. We are there to help them maintain their independence so that they do not have to rely on their family members, friends, or neighbors to provide their care for them. The care we provide ranges from personal care to companion care. We have been serving the Southeast Georgia area for over 13 years and are very passionate about serving our senior population.

Role Overview:

As a Part Time Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate personalized care and support to clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients to ensure they receive the assistance they need to enjoy a quality life, all while maintaining their dignity and independence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with companionship and conversation to enhance their emotional well-being.
2. Provide personal care, including assistance with bathing, dressing, and grooming.
3. Prepare meals that meet the dietary needs of clients.
4. Perform light housekeeping duties to maintain a safe and comfortable home environment.
5. Administer medication reminders to ensure clients adhere to their prescriptions.
6. Assist with mobility and transfers, as well as transportation for errands and appointments.
7. Encourage and assist clients in performing daily activities that promote independence.

Qualifications:

1. Compassionate and dependable demeanor.
2. Strong communication skills to interact effectively with clients.
3. Ability to work independently in a client’s home.
4. Reliable transportation for commuting to client locations.
5. Ability to meet applicable background check requirements.
6. Have prior experience as a caregiver or in a healthcare setting.
7. Possess certifications in CPR or first aid.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position that may include day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts based on client needs and caregiver availability.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Saint George, Georgia.
