In-Home Caregiver

About Us:

Role Overview:

As an In-Home Caregiver at Homewatch CareGivers of Central Ohio, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and supportive care to clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with families and healthcare professionals to ensure that each client's individual needs are met, fostering a comfortable and caring environment. You will be working on-site in Worthington, Ohio, allowing you to build meaningful relationships with clients and contribute positively to their daily lives.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a positive environment.
3. Monitor and record vital signs and changes in client health status.
4. Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
5. Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping tasks.
6. Medication Reminders as prescribed and assist with care plans.
7. Support clients with mobility needs using equipment such as Hoyer lifts when necessary.
8. Engage clients in meaningful activities that promote social interaction and cognitive stimulation.
9. Observe and report any changes in client behavior or condition to the appropriate healthcare professionals.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Experience in home health, hospice care, or long-term care settings is highly desirable.
2. Familiarity with patient observation techniques and monitoring vital signs.
3. Ability to assist with meal preparation and cooking for clients.
4. Strong communication skills and a compassionate demeanor.
5. Ability to engage clients in activities that promote well-being.

Bonus If You:

1. Have certifications in CPR or First Aid.
2. Have experience with specialized care techniques for specific health conditions.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position, with availability required on Monday through Sunday.

Location:

This position is on-site in Worthington, Ohio.
