Caregiver - Overnight

About Us:

At FirstLight Home Care, we provide in-home care assistance to seniors or any adult that needs extra assistance with their activities of daily living. We are there to help them maintain their independence so that they do not have to rely on their family members, friends, or neighbors to provide their care for them. The care we provide ranges from personal care, including assistance with bathing, toileting, mobility, hygiene, and eating assistance, to companion care, which includes conversation and company, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation. We have been serving the Southeast Georgia area for over 13 years now and are very passionate about serving our senior population.

Role Overview:

As a Caregiver - Overnight at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate home care to our clients, ensuring they enjoy their best day, every day. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with families and healthcare professionals to deliver tailored support to our clients. You will primarily provide care during the overnight shift, allowing clients to feel secure and comfortable while maintaining their daily routines.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide personal care assistance to clients, including bathing, grooming, and hygiene.
2. Assist clients with mobility and daily activities to promote independence.
3. Offer companionship through conversation and engaging activities during the overnight shift.
4. Provide medication reminders as scheduled.
5. Perform light housekeeping and meal preparation to maintain a safe and healthy environment.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Experience in caregiving or a related field.
2. Strong communication and interpersonal skills to connect with clients and families.
3. Ability to work independently and make sound decisions under minimal supervision.
4. Compassionate and patient attitude towards clients.
5. Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays as needed.

Bonus If You:

1. Have a certification in CPR or First Aid.
2. Possess experience with specific care needs, such as dementia or Alzheimer's care.
3. Are bilingual, with proficiency in another language besides English.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available as both Full-Time and Part-Time, with availability needed seven days a week, including weekends.

Location:

This position is on-site only at our facility located in St. Simons Island, Georgia.
