Position Overview

We are seeking a patient, compassionate, reliable, and experienced Caregiver to provide in-home care and support for a client with Cerebral Palsy.

The ideal candidate will be comfortable providing hands-on personal care, assisting with daily activities, and supporting the client's safety, comfort, dignity, and independence.

Key Responsibilities

• Assist with activities of daily living (ADLs), including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and personal hygiene.
• Assist with mobility, transfers, positioning, and safe movement.
• Experience with or willingness to use a Hoyer Lift is preferred.
• Assist with household tasks related to the client's care and well-being.
• Provide compassionate companionship and support.
• Follow the client's individualized care plan and safety guidelines.
• Maintain a safe, clean, and comfortable environment.
• Communicate professionally with the client, both parents, and the Assisting Hands care team.
• Report changes or concerns regarding the client's care needs to the appropriate family member or care team.
• Maintain client privacy, dignity, and confidentiality.

Qualifications

• Previous caregiving experience preferred.
• Experience working with individuals with Cerebral Palsy, physical disabilities, special needs, or mobility challenges is highly preferred.
• Experience with a Hoyer Lift is a plus.
• Patient, compassionate, empathetic, and respectful.
• Dependable, responsible, and punctual.
• Comfortable providing hands-on personal care.
• Ability to work independently while maintaining clear and consistent communication with both parents and the care team.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• CNA certification and/or CPR/First Aid certification is a plus.

Schedule & Location

Position: Caregiver – Cerebral Palsy Client

Schedule: 5 days per week

Hours: 11:00 AM – 6:00 PM

Location: Santa Clara, CA 95051
