Role Overview

As a Caregiver at BrightStar Care, you’ll provide compassionate, one-on-one care to clients in the comfort of their own homes. You’ll work closely with clients, families, and our nursing team to help ensure safe, dependable, and high-quality care.

This position is ideal for a caregiver who is experienced with hands-on personal care and comfortable assisting clients with specialized equipment and care needs.

What You’ll Do

• Assist clients with activities of daily living (ADLs), including personal care and hygiene.
• Perform safe Hoyer lift transfers.
• Assist with care involving PEG tubes and suprapubic catheters as appropriate to your training and scope.
• Provide companionship and encourage meaningful social interaction and activities.
• Travel reliably to clients’ homes and arrive on time for scheduled shifts.
• Accurately document care provided.
• Communicate professionally and effectively with clients, families, caregivers, and nursing staff.
• Follow the client’s plan of care and BrightStar Care policies and procedures.

What We’re Looking For

The ideal candidate has:

• Hands-on caregiving experience.
• Experience using Hoyer lifts and working with specialized medical equipment.
• Reliable transportation and the ability to travel to clients’ homes.
• A professional, dependable, compassionate attitude.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.
• The ability to work independently while also being part of a collaborative care team.

Bonus Qualifications

You’ll stand out if you have:

• Current CPR or First Aid certification.
• Additional training or experience in specialized care, such as Alzheimer’s or dementia care.
• Experience caring for clients with complex medical needs.

Schedule & Employment

• Part-Time / PRN
• Flexible scheduling based on client needs and availability
• Shifts available Monday–Sunday
• On-site in clients’ homes
• Service area: Wilmer, Texas
