Pacific View Assisted Living & Memory Care is an integral part of the senior care network along the South Coast. We take pride in fostering an environment that delivers goodness and grace to others, and we are home to around 95 wonderful residents between our Assisted Living and Memory Care facilities.

Role Overview:

As a Dietary Cook at Pacific View Assisted Living and Memory Care, you will be responsible for preparing and cooking high-quality meals for our senior residents. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our dining services team to ensure that our residents receive nutritious and delicious meals. Here at Pacific View, you’ll have the opportunity to contribute to the overall well-being of our residents through your culinary expertise.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Prepare and cook a variety of foods following approved recipes and menus.
2. Plan and portion food for regular and therapeutic diets under the supervision of the Dietary Services Director.
3. Assist in inventory control and ensure that food is fresh, waste is minimized, and safety and sanitation requirements are met.
4. Collaborate with the dining services team to ensure that the dietary needs of our residents are met.
5. Maintain a clean and organized work environment in the kitchen and dining areas, following all food safety protocols.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Proven experience as a Cook, preferably in a senior living or healthcare environment.
2. Knowledge of health and safety rules in a kitchen.
3. Understanding of portion control and quality standards.
4. Excellent communication and time management skills.
5. High school diploma or equivalent; Diploma from a culinary school is a plus.

Bonus If You:

1. Hold a valid food handler's certificate or ServSafe certification.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Part- time, with availability required 11am-7pm 3 days a week .

Location:

We're looking for someone in or near Bandon, Oregon, as this is an in-person position.
