Homewatch CareGivers of Southwest Austin is a locally owned and operated non-medical home care agency dedicated to helping older adults and individuals with disabilities remain safe, comfortable, and independent in the place they call home. We provide personalized assistance with activities of daily living, including personal care, companionship, meal preparation, medication reminders, transportation, light housekeeping, and specialized support for individuals living with dementia, Parkinson's disease, and other chronic conditions.

Role Overview:

As an AM Caregiver at Homewatch CareGivers of Southwest Austin, you will be responsible for improving the lives of seniors and adults through compassionate in-home care. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our office team to deliver reliable, individualized support that helps clients feel safe, comfortable, and cared for. You’ll have flexible full-time and part-time schedules available to suit your needs, primarily serving clients located in Austin with the potential for additional clients in other Southwest Austin locations.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Help clients stay on track with prescribed medication schedules through timely reminders.
2. Assist with personal care needs such as bathing, grooming, dressing, and hygiene support.
3. Support safe mobility and assist clients with everyday routines and activities.
4. Build meaningful connections by offering companionship, conversation, and emotional encouragement.
5. Help with transportation, grocery shopping, errands, and other activities as needed.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Empathy and a genuine desire to help others.
2. Experience in providing personal care or similar support services.
3. Strong communication skills, including proficiency in English.
4. Ability to foster meaningful relationships with clients.
5. Flexibility to work various schedules, including mornings and weekends.

Bonus If You:

1. Have certification in CPR or First Aid.
2. Possess experience working with clients who have dementia or chronic conditions.
3. Are familiar with the Austin area for transportation needs.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position with flexible scheduling available from Monday to Thursday.

Location:

This position is an on-site role based in Austin, Texas.
