FirstLight Home Care of Montclair is hiring compassionate and dependable In-Home Caregivers to provide personalized care and support to clients in their homes in the cities of Chino, Montclair, Ontario, and Pomona.

We are looking for caregivers who enjoy helping others and want a flexible, rewarding opportunity making a difference in their community.

Schedule

• Full-time and part-time opportunities available
• Day, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts may be available
• Flexible scheduling based on client needs and caregiver availability

What You’ll Do

As a Home Care Aide, you will assist our clients with their daily routine following a personalized Service Plan. Your responsibilities will include:

• Assisting with personal hygiene, grooming, toileting, bathing, dressing, mobility, and transfers.
• Providing companionship, conversation, recreational activities, and emotional support.
• Light housekeeping, laundry, and meal preparation if able.
• Providing incidental transportation for medical appointments, errands, or family visits.
• Observing and reporting changes in a client’s physical condition or behavior.
• Documenting services delivered through our electronic client management system; training provided.

Pay & Growth

We don't believe in dead-end caregiver jobs.

Pay: $21.00–$23.00/hour

Starting pay is $21/hour, with up to $23/hour for harder shifts.

Longevity wage increases available after 4,000 hours.

Qualifications & Requirements

Before being assigned to clients, caregivers must satisfy applicable California and company requirements. We will guide you through the onboarding process.

Requirements include:

• Registration on the California Home Care Aide (HCA) Registry.
• A cleared TB screening completed within the last 90 days or within 7 days of hire.
• Required background clearance and Live Scan fingerprinting.
• Completion of required entry-level caregiver training before client assignment.
• If transporting clients: A valid driver’s license and current personal automobile insurance.
• Completion of FirstLight orientation, safety, infection-control, and client-care training.

Physical Demands & Work Environment

Caregiving can be physically active. Employees may occasionally need to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds, depending on the client assignment.

Work generally takes place in clients’ homes and may involve potential exposure to illness or bodily fluids. We provide training in safe transfers, infection control, and proper body mechanics.
