Field Supervisor – Senior Home Care

Position Summary

The Field Supervisor / On-Call Caregiver plays a vital dual role in supporting both our clients and caregiving team. This position provides direct care to clients as needed while also overseeing caregiver performance, conducting client introductions, and assisting with office and administrative tasks. The ideal candidate is compassionate, dependable, organized, and comfortable balancing hands-on care with supervisory responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities

🏠 Client Care & On-Call Coverage

• Provide non-medical personal care and companionship services to senior clients as needed, including:
  • Assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs)
  • Mobility support and fall prevention
  • Meal preparation and light housekeeping
  • Companionship and emotional support
• Respond to last-minute call-outs, emergency coverage needs, and schedule gaps
• Ensure continuity of care and client satisfaction during coverage shifts

🤝 Client Introductions & Care Transitions

• Conduct initial client introductions and caregiver-client match visits
• Review care plans with clients, families, and caregivers to ensure understanding
• Serve as a professional agency representative during start-of-care visits
• Identify and report changes in client condition, environment, or care needs

👥 Caregiver Supervision & Evaluation

• Perform routine in-home caregiver evaluations and supervisory visits
• Observe caregiver performance to ensure compliance with care plans and agency standards
• Provide coaching, feedback, and corrective guidance as needed
• Document evaluations and report concerns to management
• Support caregiver retention through engagement, mentorship, and problem-solving

🗂️ Office & Administrative Support

• Assist with scheduling coordination and coverage support
• Complete required documentation, visit notes, evaluations, and reports
• Communicate effectively with office staff regarding client and caregiver needs
• Participate in onboarding, training, and quality assurance activities
• Support compliance with state regulations and agency policies

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required (college coursework in healthcare or human services a plus)
• Minimum 2 years of experience in non-medical home care, caregiving, or a related field
• Prior supervisory or lead caregiver experience preferred
• Knowledge of senior care, dementia care, and ADLs
• Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work flexible hours and commute in between clients
• Reliable transportation, valid driver’s license, and auto insurance
