On-call CNA/HHA

About Us:

BrightStar Care is a home health company that promotes well-being in the home. We provide our clients with caregivers, CNAs, LPNs, or RNs who deliver in-home care, assisting with toileting, light housekeeping, dressing, grooming, companionship, dementia care, safety, and much more. Each client is individually assessed by a Registered Nurse to develop a personalized Plan of Care, which our employees follow to deliver top-notch care. Our services range from simple companionship care to round-the-clock skilled nursing care. BrightStar Care of Tinley Park is owned by husband-and-wife nurses who perform the same tasks we ask our employees to undertake.

Role Overview:

As an On-call CNA at BrightStar Care, you will be responsible for providing essential in-home care to our clients living in a group home situation. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a team of caregivers to ensure that each client receives remarkable care as defined in their personalized Plan of Care. Whether you are providing companionship or skilled nursing support, you’ll have the flexibility to adapt to our clients' needs across the Tinley Park area.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with daily living activities such as dressing, grooming, and toileting.
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients.
3. Monitor clients’ health and report any changes to the supervising nurse.
4. Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a safe and clean environment.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Current CNA certification.
2. Compassionate nature with a passion for helping others.
3. Strong communication skills, fluent in English.
4. Ability to work 8 hours on short notice, including weekends and overnights.

Bonus If You:

1. Have prior experience working with elderly or disabled clients.
2. Possess additional certifications in related fields.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full-Time or Part-Time on call with availability across all days of the week.

Location:

This position is on-site only, located in Momence, Illinois.
