About Us:

BrightStar Care is a home care company that promotes well-being in the home. We can provide our clients with caregivers, CNAs, LPNs, or RNs that provide in-home care, assisting with toileting, light housekeeping, dressing, grooming, companionship, dementia care, safety, and much more. Each client is individually assessed by a Registered Nurse to develop a personalized Plan of Care, which our employees follow to deliver top-notch care. Care needs range from simple companionship care to round-the-clock skilled nursing care, and everything in between. BrightStar Care of Tinley Park is owned by husband-and-wife nurses who do the same work that we ask our employees to do. The length of the shifts can be as short as two hours or as long as twelve hours.

Role Overview:

As a CNA/HHA at BrightStar Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate in-home health care to our clients. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with Registered Nurses to implement personalized care plans for each client, ensuring their needs are met with dignity and respect. Whether you work part-time or full-time, you’ll have the flexibility to choose shifts that suit your availability throughout the week.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide in-home personal care services such as bathing, dressing, and grooming.
2. Assist clients with mobility and transportation needs safely.
3. Support clients with light housekeeping and meal preparation as needed.
4. Foster companionship and provide emotional support to enhance clients' well-being.
5. Collaborate with Registered Nurses to ensure the implementation of each client's personalized Plan of Care.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Current CNA or HHA certification in the state of Illinois.
2. Compassionate and patient-centered approach to care.
3. Strong communication skills, including proficiency in English.
4. Ability to provide care across a spectrum of client needs, from companionship to skilled nursing.
5. Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends.

Bonus If You:

1. Have experience in providing care for clients with dementia or other complex needs.
2. Possess additional certifications in specialized care practices.
3. Are bilingual, with proficiency in languages other than English.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available as both Full-Time and Part-Time, with flexible shifts throughout the week.

Location:

This position is in home care based in Tinley Park, Illinois, and the surrounding suburbs.
