Role Overview:

As a Home Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care of Bethlehem, you will be responsible for providing compassionate care and support to our clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the healthcare team to ensure the well-being and comfort of each client, while assisting with daily living activities and promoting independence. Whether you work full-time or part-time, you’ll have the opportunity to make a significant impact in the lives of those you care for.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with daily personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
2. Provide companionship and support to enhance clients' emotional and social well-being.
3. Help with meal preparation and medication reminders as needed.
4. Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients.
5. Document client status and report any changes to the healthcare team.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Strong communication skills in English.
2. Compassionate and empathetic approach to caregiving.
3. Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
4. Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic.
5. Experience in a caring role or certification in caregiving (preferred).

Bonus If You:

1. Have experience with dementia or memory care support.
2. Possess CPR and First Aid certifications.
3. Are familiar with medication management practices.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Per Diem, with availability needed from Monday through Sunday. Mornings, Afternoons and Evenings.

Location:

This position is multi-site in the Palmerton, Pennsylvania area and beyond.
