Role Overview:

As a Compassionate Caregiver at BrightStar Care of Hayward/Fremont, you will be responsible for providing personalized care to clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our nursing team to ensure that clients receive the highest standard of care and support. Whether you work full-time or part-time, you’ll have the flexibility to accommodate different schedules, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with daily living activities such as personal hygiene, meal preparation, and medication management.
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, fostering a safe and nurturing environment.
3. Monitor and document client progress, reporting any concerns to the nursing team.
4. Collaborate with healthcare professionals to develop individualized care plans tailored to clients' needs.
5. Provide transportation for clients to run errands and get to appointments.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

• A heart for caregiving & helping others
• 1+ year of professional caregiving experience (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license & reliable transportation
• CPR certification & negative TB test (or chest X-ray)
• Registration on CA’s Home Care Aide Registry (we can help!)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform caregiving tasks

Bonus If You:

1. Have prior experience working with infants, seniors or individuals with disabilities.
2. Hold a current CNA or HHA certification.
3. Are familiar with additional languages to support a diverse client base.
