Lead Caregiver & Care Coordinator

Assisting Hands Home Care – Gilbert is a new, locally owned agency looking for an experienced caregiver to join us as one of our first team members. As our Lead Caregiver & Care Coordinator, you'll split your time between the office and the field, helping with scheduling, mentoring newer caregivers and still providing the hands-on care you love. This role begins part-time and is expected to become full-time as our agency grows.

What You'll Do

Manage caregiver scheduling, shift coverage and schedule changes in AxisCare or similar software
Answer calls from families interested in our services
Help plan and lead new caregiver orientations and training
Visit clients' homes to check on care quality, client satisfaction and caregiver performance
Coach and support newer caregivers in the field
Introduce caregivers to new clients and help new cases start smoothly
Cover client shifts or take on cases as needed, providing companionship, personal care, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, mobility help and transportation
Keep records and documentation accurate and complete

What You Bring

5+ years of home care experience preferred (minimum 3 years required)
AxisCare experience strongly preferred; similar home care software (such as WellSky or ClearCare) considered
Experience training or mentoring caregivers is a plus
Strong communication and customer service skills
Organized, professional and comfortable with basic computer tasks
Valid driver's license, reliable transportation and auto insurance
Ability to meet background check and employment requirements
CPR/First Aid certification preferred

That includes clients recovering from surgery, an injury or a hospital stay. Our caregivers help with daily activities like bathing, dressing, meal preparation, light housekeeping, medication reminders, transportation, errands and companionship.
