Homewatch CareGivers of Elmhurst is focused on building relationships with their clientele and families. Each client's care plan is customized, allowing the flexibility to match the care provided to the exact needs of each client, whether the client needs companion care or complex personal care.

Role Overview:

As a Dementia Caregiver at Homewatch CareGivers of Elmhurst, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and supportive care to clients living with dementia. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our care coordination team to ensure that each client's unique needs are met while promoting their independence and dignity. This position is on-site only, located in Elmhurst, Illinois.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide personal care and support for clients with dementia, ensuring their comfort and safety.
2. Assist clients with daily living activities including meal preparation, medication reminders, and companionship.
3. Communicate effectively with clients, families, and team members to coordinate care and support.
4. Adapt care routines according to each client's evolving needs and preferences.
5. Maintain accurate records of care provided and report changes in client condition to the care team.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Experience or training in caregiving, specifically with dementia or elderly clients.
2. Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
3. Ability to handle sensitive situations with compassion and professionalism.
4. Understanding of dementia care practices and procedures.

Bonus If You:

1. Have experience working in a home care setting.
2. Possess additional certifications related to caregiving or dementia care.

Employment Type & Availability:

This is a Part-Time position available on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Itasca, Illinois.
