Live In Caregiver

About Us:

BrightStar Care is a home care company that promotes well-being in the home. We can provide our clients with caregivers, CNAs, LPNs or RNs that provide in-home care, assisting with toileting, light housekeeping, dressing, grooming, companionship, dementia care, safety and much more. Each client is individually assessed by a Registered Nurse to develop a personalized Plan of Care, which our employees follow to deliver top-notch care. Care needs range from simple companionship care to round-the-clock skilled nursing care, and everything in between. BrightStar Care of Tinley Park is owned by husband-and-wife nurses who do the same work that we ask our employees to do.

Role Overview:

As a Live In Caregiver at BrightStar Care, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive in-home care to our clients. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with a team of dedicated professionals to ensure clients receive personalized support that enhances their daily living. Working on-site, you'll enjoy a structured work environment committed to making a lasting impact in the lives of those we serve.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist clients with daily living activities including toileting, grooming, and dressing.
2. Provide companionship to clients to promote emotional well-being.
3. Monitor and report any changes in clients' health status to the Registered Nurse.
4. Follow personalized Plan of Care developed by the Registered Nurse.
5. Support with light housekeeping to maintain a safe and clean environment for clients.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Strong communication skills in English.
2. Compassionate and patient demeanor when working with clients.
3. Have a valid driver's license and insurance. Driving client in their vehicle is REQUIRED.
4. Experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred.
5. Ability to work live in 24/7 shifts. The schedule is two weeks on, two weeks off.

Bonus If You:

1. Have certification as a CNA.
2. Have experience working with clients with dementia or other cognitive impairments.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full-Time as a live in caregiver.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Flossmoor, Illinois.
