Overnight Caregiver

Role Overview:

As an Overnight (awake) Caregiver at Assisting Hands Seacoast NH, you will provide personalized non-medical support services to clients in their homes during overnight hours. You'll help our clients maintain their independence and dignity while receiving the care they need. We offer the flexibility to work full-time, nighttime hours any day of the week.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide compassionate care to clients during overnight hours, engaging with them as necessary.
2. Assist clients with their nighttime personal care routines and activities.
3. Help with light housekeeping tasks to ensure a clean and comfortable living environment.
4. Provide medication reminders as prescribed and monitor clients for any changes in condition.
5. Provide companionship for clients and reassurance for their for thier family, knowing their loved one is safe and getting the care needed while they are away or getting rest themselves.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Caregiving or related experience is preferred.
2. Strong communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage with clients and their families.
3. A compassionate, patient approach when working with elderly and disabled populations.
4. Ability to work independently and manage time effectively during overnight shifts.
5. Basic understanding of health and safety practices in caregiving.

Bonus If You:

1. Have CPR and First Aid certifications.
2. Have experience working with clients who have Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is part- or full-time, Monday through Friday, with weekends available.

Location:

This position is on-site in Portsmouth, New Hampshire.
