Precon Marine operates from its main office, yard, and mooring facilities located on the Intracoastal Waterway, one of the busiest harbors on the U.S. east coast.

Role Overview:

As a Boat Captain at Precon Marine Inc, you will be responsible for leading and managing marine operations with a focus on safety, efficiency, and timely project completion. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the marine construction team to ensure seamless operations and adherence to project timelines. Whether you work on-site, you’ll have the opportunity to be at the forefront of maritime solutions and contribute to the success of challenging marine construction projects.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safely operate and maneuver marine vessels in compliance with maritime regulations and company protocols.
2. Lead and supervise a crew, ensuring smooth implementation of marine construction projects.
3. Collaborate with the marine construction team to plan and execute construction activities at sea and near the waterfront.
4. Conduct routine inspections and maintenance of marine vessels to ensure their seaworthiness and operational readiness.
5. Uphold safety standards and best practices to create a secure work environment for all on-board personnel.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Valid U.S. Coast Guard Captain's License.
2. Extensive experience in marine vessel operations, preferably in the construction or related industry.
3. Solid understanding of maritime regulations, safety protocols, and emergency procedures.
4. Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to lead and coordinate a crew effectively.
5. Proficiency in English language.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Full-Time, Monday through Friday.

Location:

This position is on-site at Chesapeake, Virginia.
