Pay: $15.00 - $18.00 per hour

BrightStar Care of Fort Wayne is hiring for full-time Patient Care Assistant (PCA) and Caregiver opportunities in Fort Wayne, IN.

Pay and Scheduling

• $15.00 - $18.00 per hour
• Weekly pay with direct deposit
• Consistent first or second shift assignments in Fort Wayne, IN
• Additional PRN opportunities available

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED
• At least one year of professional experience as a Patient Care Assistant (PCA), Caregiver, or home health professional
• Current CPR certification
• Physical examination and negative TB test completed within the past 12 months
• Valid driver’s license, auto insurance, and reliable transportation
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform the position’s physical duties
• Ability to pass a background check and drug screen
• Strong communication skills and dependable attendance
• Commitment to client privacy and HIPAA compliance

What You’ll Do

Use your Patient Care Assistant (PCA) or Caregiver skills to support each client’s daily routines, comfort, and independence.

• Assist with bathing, grooming, dressing, and personal hygiene.
• Provide companionship and emotional support.
• Prepare meals and complete light housekeeping.
• Assist with errands and approved activities.
• Support safe mobility, transfers, and positioning.
• Perform range-of-motion exercises according to the care plan.
• Follow each client’s individualized plan of care.
• Document care accurately and report changes to the nurse case manager.
• Protect client dignity, privacy, and safety.
