At FirstLight Home Care, we provide in-home care assistance to seniors or any adult that needs extra assistance with their activities of daily living. We help them maintain their independence so they do not have to rely on their family members, friends, or neighbors to provide care. Our services range from personal care, which includes bathing, toileting, mobility, hygiene, and eating assistance, to companion care, including conversation, medication reminders, light housekeeping, and transportation. We have been serving the Southeast Georgia area for over 13 years and are very passionate about serving our senior population.

Role Overview:

As a Caregiver (Flexible Hours) at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate home care to our clients, ensuring they enjoy their best day, every day. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with families and healthcare professionals to deliver the support our clients need. Whether you work full-time or part-time, you’ll have the flexibility to manage your hours while making a significant impact on the lives of the individuals you serve.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide personal care assistance, including bathing, dressing, and hygiene.
2. Support clients with mobility and transfers to ensure their safety.
3. Offer companionship and engage in meaningful conversations with clients.
4. Assist with medication reminders and ensure clients adhere to their health routines.
5. Perform light housekeeping tasks to maintain a comfortable living environment.
6. Provide transportation and support for errands or appointments as needed.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Excellent communication skills, with proficiency in English.
2. Compassion and patience in caring for seniors and adults in need.
3. Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
4. Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is beneficial.
5. Strong organizational skills to manage multiple clients effectively.
6. Have certification in CPR and first aid.

Bonus If You:

1. Possess a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
2. Are familiar with the local resources available for seniors.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available for both Full-Time and Part-Time hours, with flexible scheduling from Monday through Sunday.

Location:

This position is on-site only, located in Brunswick, Georgia.
