We’re hiring reliable, outgoing full-time team members who want weekday daytime hours on the sales floor. This is a front-line role: you greet customers, process inventory, keep the store looking sharp, and ring up sales.
What you’ll do
Deliver friendly, helpful service: greet guests, style outfits, run fitting rooms, and answer the phone.
Process incoming inventory quickly and accurately: tag, sensor, hang, and merchandise clothing and accessories.
Keep the sales floor clean and shoppable: fill racks, straighten merch, move backstock, and support general store upkeep.
Operate the register with accuracy and a positive attitude; educate customers on selling their clothes to the store.
Create simple social content (TikTok, Instagram, Facebook) highlighting deals, new arrivals, and events when asked.
Work as part of a fast-paced team and take initiative without constant direction.
Who we’re looking for
Passion for customer service, fashion, bargains, and resale/sustainability.
Strong communication skills and a people-first attitude; comfortable in a busy retail environment.
Reliable transportation and consistent full-time daytime availability (typically weekday mornings through mid-afternoon; some weekend days as needed).
Customer service or cash-handling experience is a plus. Prior retail experience preferred but not required.
Ability to stand, walk, lift, and move merchandise throughout a full shift.
Schedule & pay
Full-time: approximately 35–40 hours per week, primarily daytime hours.
$13–$15/hour, paid bi-weekly.
Generous employee discount, energetic team environment, and room to grow.
Ideal for: Outgoing, dependable people who like fashion, helping customers, and working daytime hours in a team setting.
Apply with a short note about your availability and why you’d be a good fit.
We're a locally owned and operated franchise of Uptown Cheapskate. We started this business to bring a fun, fresh, and sustainable way for people to buy and sell trendy clothes. Think of us as your neighborhood thrift store—but way cooler and more organized than the typical secondhand spot. We specialize in buying gently used clothing, shoes, and accessories from local folks and reselling them at awesome prices to the Gainesville community.
We make fashion more affordable and eco-friendly. Customers bring in their gently used items, we pay them cash on the spot for the good stuff, and then we turn around and sell those pieces in our bright, clean, boutique store at prices that make everyone smile. Whether you're a college student looking for affordable outfits, a parent trying to stretch the clothing budget, or someone who just loves finding unique pieces, we've got something for you.
On the team side, we’re all about creating a positive, fast-paced retail environment where our crew actually enjoys coming to work.
A few things set us apart from your average retail gig:
We're locally owned — This isn’t some distant corporate machine. I’m right here in Gainesville, and I care about building a great team and supporting our community.
The vibe is fun and energetic — We play great music, the store looks sharp, and we actually like each other. No stuffy corporate rules or mindless boredom.
Real growth opportunities — Our most successful team members will move up quickly into shift leads, buyers, or managers. If you’re driven and reliable, you can grow with us.
We actually pay you to stay trendy — You get a great discount on all the cool clothes that come through the door.
Sustainability with a side of cash — We help keep good clothes out of landfills while putting money back into our customers’ (and team’s) pockets.
