Role Overview:

As a Male Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and respectful personal care to a clients in the Fayette county and surrounding areas. In particularly we need someone in Winchester. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with the client’s family and care coordinators to ensure that care is delivered effectively and with dignity. Whether you work full-time, part-time, or temporarily, you'll have the flexibility to schedule your hours while positively impacting someone’s life every day.

Please Note: Due to the personal and sensitive nature of the care required, this position involves assisting a male client with intimate personal care tasks. As such, the client has requested a male caregiver. This request is in accordance with bona fide occupational qualification (BFOQ) exceptions under applicable federal and state law, including Title VII of the Civil Rights Act and the Kentucky Civil Rights Act, which allow for gender to be considered when it is reasonably necessary to the normal operation of the business.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assist the client with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, grooming, bathing, and incontinence care.
2. Provide companionship and emotional support to the client.
3. Assist client with light housekeeping, errands, and transportation
4. Communicate effectively with the client, care and their family regarding care needs.
5. Document care provided and report any changes in the client's condition to the supervisor.
6. Adhere to all safety and quality protocols while ensuring a respectful and compassionate environment.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Compassionate approach to caregiving and a genuine concern for the well-being of others.
2. Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
3. Ability to work independently and responsibly within a caregiver role.
4. Ability to lift 50lbs.
5. Previous experience in caregiving or related field is an asset.

Bonus If You:

1. Have experience working with clients requiring personal care.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available on a Part-Time, or Temporary basis, with flexible hours available throughout the week, including weekends. Could lead to Full Time hours

Location:

This position is in the homes of clients that live in Lexington, Fayette county and all surrounding counties. Must be willing to travel to surrounding counties.
