About the Role:

Homewatch CareGivers of St. Pete Beach is seeking a compassionate and dependable Overnight Caregiver to provide quality, one-on-one care for a client in their home during nighttime hours. In this vital role, you’ll help ensure safety, comfort, and peace of mind for both the client and their family throughout the night. You'll work closely with our care team to support evening routines, monitor well-being, and provide gentle assistance as needed during overnight hours.

What You’ll Be Doing:

• Supporting clients with evening routines such as toileting, changing, or light grooming before bed
• Providing standby or hands-on assistance for nighttime needs (e.g., mobility support, repositioning, medication reminders bathroom visits)
• Monitoring for safety issues or health concerns throughout the night
• Offering reassurance and companionship if the client wakes during the night
• Documenting observations and reporting any changes in condition to the care team
• Helping maintain a calm, clean, and safe environment during overnight hours

Required Qualifications:

• Active Florida HHA certificate OR ability to take the HHA test
• CPR/BLS certification (preferred)
• Valid driver’s license and access to a reliable vehicle
• Ability to pass a Level 2 background check
• At least 21 years of age
• Strong verbal communication and documentation skills
• Ability to work independently and remain alert and responsive throughout overnight shifts
• Must be eligible to work in the United States

Preferred Experience:

• Previous overnight or dementia care experience
• Familiarity with mobility equipment and safe transfer techniques
• Compassionate approach and patience when working with older adults

Shift Information:

• Schedule: Overnight shifts (typically 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM or 9:00 PM – 9:00 AM; exact times may vary)
• Availability: Weekday and weekend availability preferred
• Employment Type: Part-Time or dependent on client needs
• Location: St. Pete Beach, FL (in-home care only)
• Service Area: We serve a wide area including St. Pete Beach, Gulfport, Tierra Verde, Seminole, Largo, and Pinellas Park
