Wound Care Nurse

About Us:

BrightStar Care is a home health company that promotes well-being in the home. We can provide our clients with caregivers, CNAs, LPNs, or RNs that provide in-home care, assisting with toileting, light housekeeping, dressing, grooming, companionship, dementia care, safety, and much more. Each client is individually assessed by a Registered Nurse to develop a personalized Plan of Care, which our employees follow to deliver top-notch care. Care needs range from simple companionship care to round-the-clock skilled nursing care, and everything in between.

Role Overview:

As a Wound Care Nurse at BrightStar Care, you will be responsible for providing specialized nursing care to clients with wounds. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with clients, families, and healthcare teams to develop effective care plans aimed at promoting healing and comfort. Whether you work directly at client locations, you'll have the flexibility to manage your schedule and provide exceptional care.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Assess wounds and develop individualized care plans to promote healing.
2. Administer wound care treatments as prescribed, ensuring best practices are followed.
3. Monitor client conditions and make necessary adjustments to care plans based on progress.
4. Provide stand by assist for showers.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Valid nursing license (RN or LPN) in the state of Illinois.
2. Experience in wound care management and treatment.
3. Strong assessment and critical thinking skills.
4. Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.
5. Ability to work independently and manage a flexible schedule.

Bonus If You:

1. Hold certifications in wound care nursing.
2. Have experience working in home health settings.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is Part-Time, available most days of the week, and pay is per visit, not per hour.

Location:

This position is on-site only in Peru, Illinois.
