Position Summary

FirstLight Home Care is seeking compassionate, dependable, and caring individuals to join our growing team of caregivers. Whether you're an experienced CNA, PCA, HHA, or someone with a heart for helping others, we'd love to hear from you.

As a Caregiver, you'll provide one-on-one, non-medical care to seniors and adults in the comfort of their homes. Every client's needs are unique, making each day rewarding and meaningful.

Position Type:

• Full-Time
• Part-Time
• PRN/As Needed

Schedule Availability:

• Monday-Sunday
• Morning, afternoon, evening, overnight, and weekend shifts available
• Client schedules vary based on individual care needs

Responsibilities

• Assist clients with personal care, including bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and hygiene.
• Provide mobility and transfer assistance.
• Prepare meals and snacks.
• Offer companionship and meaningful conversation.
• Provide medication reminders.
• Perform light housekeeping and laundry.
• Escort or transport clients to appointments, errands, or social outings when authorized.
• Monitor and report changes in a client's condition.
• Follow individualized care plans.
• Document services accurately and communicate with the office regarding client needs.

Qualifications

We're looking for caregivers who are:

• Compassionate and dependable
• Patient and respectful
• Excellent communicators
• Reliable with strong attendance
• Able to work independently

Preferred Experience

• Previous caregiving, home care, PCA, HHA, CNA, or healthcare experience preferred
• Experience caring for seniors or adults with disabilities is a plus

Requirements

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Ability to pass a Level II Fingerprint Background Check
• Current TB Skin Test (or willingness to obtain before employment)
• Current in-person CPR & First Aid Certification (or willingness to obtain before employment)
• Ability to read, write, and communicate effectively in English
• Ability to lift, transfer, bend, and assist clients safely

• Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
• Personal Care Assistant (PCA)
• Home Health Aide (HHA)
• Dementia or Alzheimer's care experience
• Hospice or end-of-life care experience
• Experience with gait belts, Hoyer lifts, or mobility assistance
