Role Overview:

As a Home Caregiver at FirstLight Home Care, you will be responsible for providing compassionate and supportive care to our clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our care team to ensure that each client feels valued and supported. Whether you work full-time or part-time, you’ll have the opportunity to make a meaningful difference in the lives of those you care for.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide daily living assistance, including personal care, meal preparation, and companionship to clients.
2. Monitor and document client progress and report any changes to the care team.
3. Assist clients with mobility and mobility-related tasks.
4. Engage clients in meaningful conversations and activities to enhance their quality of life.
5. Foster strong relationships with clients and their families to promote trust and rapport.

Qualifications:

You're a great fit if you have the following skills.

1. Prior experience in a caregiving role or a related field.
2. Strong communication skills and the ability to build effective relationships with clients.
3. Empathy and compassion to provide dignified care.
4. Ability to complete assigned tasks in a timely and efficient manner.
5. Ability to stand, walk, squat, bend, kneel, reach, twist, push and pull. Varied assistance is required depending on the mobility of the client. Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds
6. Valid driver's license and reliable transportation.

Bonus If You:

1. Have experience with elderly or disabled individuals.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available as Full-Time, Part-Time, or Temporary, with availability needed Monday through Sunday.

Location:

This position is located in client's homes in Garrard County and all surrounding counties.
