Role Overview

BrightStar Care is seeking a compassionate and experienced Pediatric Registered Nurse (RN) to provide skilled, one-on-one nursing care to a pediatric patient in the comfort of their home in Wichita Falls, Texas.

This role is ideal for an RN who enjoys building meaningful relationships with pediatric patients and their families while providing attentive, high-quality clinical care. The position primarily involves 12-hour overnight shifts, including weekends.

Key Responsibilities

• Provide compassionate, skilled nursing care during 12-hour overnight shifts
• Manage and monitor tube feedings
• Provide care for and maintain a Mickey Button (G-tube)
• Closely monitor for seizure activity and respond appropriately
• Follow and maintain aspiration precautions
• Monitor the patient's condition and promptly identify changes in status
• Maintain a safe, comfortable, and supportive environment
• Complete accurate and timely nursing documentation
• Communicate effectively with the patient's family and BrightStar Care's clinical team
• Follow the individualized plan of care and all applicable nursing standards

Qualifications

You're a great fit for this position if you have:

• A current Texas RN license in good standing
• Pediatric nursing experience, particularly with medically complex pediatric patients
• Experience with G-tubes/tube feedings
• Knowledge and experience with seizure precautions and monitoring
• Understanding of aspiration precautions
• Strong clinical judgment and attention to detail
• Excellent communication skills with both families and clinical staff
• A compassionate, patient-focused approach to care
• The ability to work independently in a home setting

Bonus If You Have

• Previous private-duty nursing experience
• Pediatric nursing certifications or additional pediatric clinical training
• Experience caring for children with complex medical needs
• Bilingual or multilingual skills, especially Spanish

Employment Type & Schedule

Part-Time | Private Duty Nursing

• 12-hour overnight shifts
• Weekend availability required
• Consistent scheduling based on patient and family needs

Location

Wichita Falls, Texas

This is an on-site, in-home position providing care directly to the pediatric patient.
