Role Overview:

As a Certified Nursing Assistant at FirstLight Home Care of Southern Maine, you will be responsible for providing compassionate support to clients in their homes. In this role, you’ll collaborate closely with our care team to ensure clients receive the personal care they need to thrive in a comfortable and safe environment. Whether you work full-time or part-time, you'll have the opportunity to make a meaningful impact in the lives of others daily.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Provide companionship and conversation to clients.
2. Prepare and serve meals while assisting clients with dietary needs.
3. Assist with bathing, toileting, and other personal care tasks.
4. Perform light housekeeping and laundry to maintain a clean living environment.
5. Help with shopping, errands, and transportation as needed.
6. Undertake other duties as assigned to support client care.
7. Work in tandem with home health and/or hospice agencies in the client's home

Qualifications:

2. Dependable and trustworthy, with a strong work ethic.
3. Previous experience in a caregiving role is preferred.
4. Strong communication skills, with the ability to connect with clients and their families.
5. English language proficiency is required.

Bonus If You:

1. Have a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certification and/or Personal Support Specialist (PSS) certification.
2. Possess additional certifications in related health care fields (first aid, CPR, DSP, BHP, etc).
3. Are flexible with scheduling and willing to work weekends.

Employment Type & Availability:

This position is available in both Full-Time and Part-Time capacities, with availability needed Monday through Sunday. We utilize shift differentials for overnights, weekends and holidays. We pay weekly.

Location:

This position is on-site only in client's home. We cover a large territory in Southern Maine and hire qualified candidates to work within a 25 mile radius of their home.
